ABOUT ME AND MY ART

I have been painting animals for nearly 30 years. I love nature and Wildlife and for many years I just painted endangered Wild animals. Hoping that my paintings would somehow help preserve these wonderful creatures forever. But that was a dream I guess. Too many things would need to change in the world before wildlife got a chance at life.
In recent years I've added local wildlife to my palette. Squirrels, Chipmunks and birds in Particular. I like combining flowers or trees into my painting along with animals to create a better composition.
All my paintings are on hard Jessoed board that makes them solid and nearly unbreakable. I use Acrylics most of the time but do play around with water based oils and other media if the subject requires it. Paintings are then Varnished to hold color and sharpness.
I print all my own cards. I trim them myself, Stick labels then add an envelope and place both within a clear sleeve to protect the cards.
